The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown.

The method was designed for work with individuals, couples, families, work teams, and organizational leaders. It can be facilitated in clinical, educational, and professional settings. During the process facilitators explore topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. Participants are invited to examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are holding them back and identify the new choices and practices that will move them toward more authentic and wholehearted living. The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing daily practices that transform the way we live, love, parent, and lead.

Workshop

Many of us feel we are held back in some area(s) of our life. Often, we believe we are not ______ enough - not good, attractive, productive, intelligent, important enough. This list is endless and that voice is extremely strong.

In a small, supportive group, we will:

  • Explore what holds us back such as perfectionism, shame, fear, etc

  • Identify which of our coping strategies leave us feeling isolated and alone

  • Cultivate self-compassion, joy, and gratitude

  • Develop healthier relationships with others and ourselves

  • Connect to courage and build shame resilience skills to increase our sense of worth so we can show up in our lives

Workshop

The physics of vulnerability is simple: If we are brave enough, often enough, we will fall. Rising Strong is about what it takes to get back up and how owning our stories of struggle gives us the power to write a daring new ending. Struggle can be our greatest call to courage and the clearest path to a wholehearted life. This workshop is for you if:

  • You tried to do something brave and it didn’t work out

  • You want to learn practical tools to manage “big” struggles (relationship ending, loss of job, etc), or “small” struggles (comment by co-worker, argument with a friend)

  • You notice repeating patterns in your life. For example, you feel like the same thing ALWAYS happens to you

  • You are curious about how your emotions, thoughts, and behaviours are connected

  • You want to continue being brave and showing up in your life
